This year has been full of change! We moved out of our condo this past summer and are currently looking to purchase a home.
Joe has successfully been in private practice, full time, for over a year now. We feel so fortunate he is getting to do what he loves. God has blessed his practice in more ways than we could have ever imagined. Joe will be starting his fourth year speaking to over 20,000 teens about DUI prevention to the surrounding Orange County high schools. He also has had many other speaking engagements at schools and churches throughout the year.
I have been teaching private acting lessons through my own company: OC Acting Studio. Also, I have been tutoring a few students and working at Anthropologie a couple days during the week. I am currently playing the role of Diana in the 6 week run of Anne of Green Gables-The Musical at the Chance Theater in Anaheim and loving every second I get to act and sing on the beloved stage.
Together we have continued to be leaders in the high school youth group at Trinity Presbyterian Church. Joe's guys are now seniors and my girls are sophomores. We love the community we have at the church, as well the opportunities we have to see these teens grow.
Arnie is now two and doing great! She still enjoys playing in Grandma's garden and snuggling up for naps. We love having a dog.
We are happy to announce that we will be adding a new addition to our family in the summer. Our special blessing is due to arrive July 4th, 2012. We are so happy to be jumping into this new adventure. We know God has great plans in store and we can't wait to be parents.
We hope that this letter has found you well and that you are enjoying the joy of the season. How beautiful it is that our savior Jesus Christ was born on Christmas day. May God bless you and keep you.

Love, Joe, Kristin, Arnie, & Baby J

We went to Oak Glen to celebrate harvest/Halloween/Fall time! We picked our own pumpkins, tasted apple cider, and ate the yummiest apple strudel and cinnamon crisps! It finally feels like fall after our Oak Glen excursion. Now we just need to convince the OC weather!
We spent most of our time at the Riley Farm. Go visit if you get the chance!

anniversary

We cannot believe we have been married 1 year! This year flew by.
We celebrated our anniversary by staying at the Island Hotel in Newport Beach Friday-Sunday. We saw the Yankee/Angel Game Friday night and sadly the Yankees lost, boo! But, when we got back to the hotel we saw Robinson Cano in the elevator and Kristin struck up a conversation with him about the game that night. Robinson told her, "We gotta win!"
Saturday we had a delicious breakfast at Alta, went shopping at Fashion Island, walked around Roger's Garden, and when the sun finally came out, we relaxed by the pool. We ended the evening watching a little USC football and then going out to dinner at  The Bungalow. We had amazing steak dinners, delicious wine, and fantastic chocolate souffle for dessert. Lucky for us the Yankees were staying at our hotel! So we sat on the lobby couch when we got back from dinner and saw all the players, except Jeter and A-Rod, and Coach Giradi come in. It was a once in a lifetime moment.
On our way out of Newport we grabbed breakfast at Alta again and took PCH home. Great weekend. More memories to come in the 2nd year of marriage!

Kristin's Corner:
I finally did it... I got a Pinterest.
It is a great idea! Why couldn't I have thought of it! It's great to have a place to store creative ideas, recipes, style ideas, things you like, etc. without having to save a million pictures to your computer memory. And it's fun to see what is out there on the internet...some things make me laugh pretty hard!
Soooo after getting lots of friends addicted...I finally gave in.

fabric as wrapping paper

Giving gifts is something we really enjoy.
We suggest that next time you wrap a gift, use fabric as wrapping paper! It's fun to do and to receive!
Use shipping tape to make sure the fabric stays put.

And you can always use twine, hemp, or colored string to tie up a package.
Be creative!

The Nest

The Nest is a quaint little shop in Old Town San Juan Capistrano. The shop is an old house that most likely holds many fond memories from the past. When we first discovered this little shop we fell in love with it.  It as though time slows down as soon as you step onto the wooden deck.  There is an adorable little backyard that can be used for parties, weddings, and get togethers.
Dina (the woman who owns the shop) is nice as can be.  You can tell she loves her shop and is passionate about every item in it. In fact, everyone who works there is delightful.  The Nest is a fun place to find hidden little treasures.  They sell unique gifts with a vintage feel.

We took a set of wedding shots inside and outside the shop on our wedding day.
